1/18/2019 Storm Preparations

1/18/2019 Storm Preparations: Emailed to the Community.

Dear Residents:

With one mini storm down it looks like we won’t be so lucky with the next one that will follow. This weekend’s storm will bring with it snow, ice and rain, please be mindful of the following:

1. Management has been in contact already with thecommunity's snow vendor. They have assured us that they are in the process of making full preparations for the timely removal of snow and treating any ice. ALL VEHICLES ARE TO BE MOVED OFF THE STREETS and into the GARAGE and DRIVEWAY.

2. Since the storm heading towards us is somewhat complicated, weather personnel are having difficulties forecasting snow totals. Rain and ice are predicted to mix with and/or change over to snow during the duration of these two storms. Please note that the snow vendor will act accordingly and will be on site to address snow removal ASAP.

3. DURING THE SNOWFALL:  Streets, including Revere Court, will be kept free of accumulations.

4. AFTER THE SNOWFALL: The Clubhouse parking lot, common area sidewalks, assigned parking spots, garage driveways, townhouse walkways, and visitor parking areas, in that sequence, will be cleared after the snow stops falling. Garage driveways and walkways will be plowed and shoveled only once in those situations where total snowfall exceeds 3”. Mail stations, fire hydrants and dumpster enclosures will all be cleared. The contractor has approximately four to five (4-5) hours after snowfall has stopped to complete these areas.

5. When walking outside (if necessary during the storms) DO NOT APPROACH THE SNOW PLOWS. Please use caution especially on any untreated areas.  It is always a good idea to have a small bag of calcium chloride should you have a few icy spots. This can be purchased at local hardware stores or Home Depot. ROCK SALT APPLICATIONS ARE PROHIBITE.

6. Electric outages should be reported directly to JCP&L at 888-544-4877. Gas/Heat issues should be reported directly to New Jersey Natural Gas at 800-221-0051.

7. Also, with the forecast calling for an Artic Invasion Sunday night into Monday, temps are predicted to drop below freezing causing "flash freezing". It is highly recommended that you take a pro-active approach to avoid frozen pipes inside of your unit by turning up the thermostat, opening cabinet doors to allow heat to circulate around pipes as well as leaving faucets dripping at a fast pace. *If your unit is rented out, you as the landlord are responsible to relay this information to your tenants.

Stay home if you can and enjoy the snow days!
